Understanding the key terms and the function of each part in the digestive system is so crucial for understanding how the body works. Sometimes it can feel like hard work to engage students in reviewing key terms and consolidating their understanding. The digestive system escape room will keep your students engaged while also ensuring they are covering key science content and building crucial skills.

What is needed to access the digestive system escape room?

Students just need access to a device with internet access. While the escape room uses a Google Form, students are not required to sign in so they don’t need an account to play.

 

What does the digestive system escape room consist of?

The activity contains 8 tasks students must complete in order to ‘escape’.

Answers are entered into a Google Form (provided). The task cards are included digitally within the Google Form, but a printable pdf version is also included for you.

 

These tasks contain a range of challenges to engage students including a maze, ciphers and codes.

This science escape room covers key vocabulary, parts and functions of the elements that make up the digestive system in the human body.

 

Note: This digital escape room is designed to be a fun way to review and consolidate key terms for the digestive system in science. It is not designed to be a rigorous assessment of learning.

 

Note: Due to the nature of the form and privacy issues of students across multiple schools completing it, you won’t receive the results of students. Since it is self-marked and they can’t progress to the next level without getting the answer correct, this isn’t usually an issue. However, if you need to see that your students completed the task for accountability, after purchasing, please send me an email at katrina@theanimatedteacherblog.com and I will send you a form just for your class with the results spreadsheet.
