This science graphing activity includes two murder mysteries where students need to identify the murderer, accomplice and two witnesses by determining who is lying.

Instructions: Read the account from each person below. One of them is the murderer, one of them is an accomplice, and there are two witnesses. How can you tell?

• The murderer is very good at lying. They will have 2 lies in their account.
• The accomplice will have 1 lie.
• The witnesses will only have truths.

Students then need to rewrite each ‘lie’ as a truth.
