Description
Understanding the key terms and the function of each part in the cardiovascular system is so crucial for understanding how the body works. Sometimes it can feel like hard work to engage students in reviewing key terms and consolidating their understanding. The Cardiovascular System Diagram Labelling Worksheets and Stations will keep your students engaged while also ensuring they are covering key science content. Need to differentiate for your class? No problem! There is a second option for the notes that can be used to challenge your students.
Why use the Cardiovascular System Diagram Labelling Worksheets and Stations?
1. Scaffolded notes provide support for students and ensures they have all the information for later revision
2. Stations information cards allow for movement and collaboration
3. Differentiated options included
4. Cut and paste & coloring activity allow for a change of pace in the classroom
5. Just print and go
6. Full teacher answers included
What format are the notes and stations in?
The pdf’s are included in the zip file.
What do the Cardiovascular System Worksheets and Stations consist of?
This resource contains:
- 9 pages of scaffolded notes with diagrams to label
- 9 pages of a differentiated option with diagrams to label
- 9 pages of information stations
- 2 activities – a cut & paste flow chart and a color coding activity to match the part and function.
- Full teacher answers
How do I use this resource?
Just print one copy of the notes for each student and one or two sets of stations (depending on the size of the class).
Students use the information cards at the various stations to complete their scaffolded notes and diagram labelling on:
- The cardiovascular system
- The heart
- Pulmonary circuit
- Systemic circuit
- Arteries
- Veins
- Capillaries
- Blood
Students can then consolidate their understanding by completing the flow chart and part and function activity.
Why use the cardiovascular system escape room?

What is needed to access the cardiovascular system escape room?
Students just need access to a device with internet access. While the escape room uses a Google Form, students are not required to sign in so they don’t need an account to play.
What does the cardiovascular system escape room consist of?
The activity contains 8 tasks students must complete in order to ‘escape’.
Answers are entered into a Google Form (provided). The task cards are included digitally within the Google Form, but a printable pdf version is also included for you.
These tasks contain a range of challenges to engage students including a maze, ciphers and codes.
What the cardiovascular system escape room covers:
This science escape room covers key vocabulary, parts and functions of the elements that make up the cardiovascular system in the human body.
Note: This digital escape room is designed to be a fun way to review and consolidate key terms for the digestive system in science. It is not designed to be a rigorous assessment of learning.
Note:Â Due to the nature of the form and privacy issues of students across multiple schools completing it, you won’t receive the results of students. Since it is self-marked and they can’t progress to the next level without getting the answer correct, this isn’t usually an issue. However, if you need to see that your students completed the task for accountability, after purchasing, please send me an email at katrina@theanimatedteacherblog.com and I will send you a form just for your class with the results spreadsheet.
