Students just need access to a device with internet access. While the escape room uses a Google Form, students are not required to sign in so they don’t need an account to play. The printable version is included as a pdf so you can choose how you’d like students to complete the forces escape room game activity.
What does the Newton’s 3 Laws breakout escape room consist of?
The activity contains 8 tasks students must complete in order to ‘escape’.
These escape rooms use Google Forms (provided) where students enter their final answer for each task. The link to the escape room can be shared on your class google classroom. In the digital form, students cannot progress to the next challenge unless they enter the correct answer or secret code.
The task cards are included digitally within the Google Form, but a pdf version of the task cards and answers is also included for you.
What this Newton’s 3 Laws of motion activity escape room covers:
This escape room covers key terms and concepts related to Newton’s three laws of motion including the following terms:

- Law of inertia
- Constant velocity
- Newton’s second law
- Newton’s third law
- Sir Isaac Newton
- Net force
- Speed
- Force = mass x acceleration

Note:Â This is not meant to be a rigorous assessment. It is designed to be a fun way to review key terms and vocabulary related to the Newton’s 3 laws.
Note:Â Due to the nature of the form and privacy issues of students across multiple schools completing it, you won’t receive the results of students. Since it is self-marked and they can’t progress to the next level without getting the answer correct, this isn’t usually an issue. However, if you need to see that your students completed the task for accountability, after purchasing, please send me an email at katrina@theanimatedteacherblog.com and I will send you a form just for your class with the results spreadsheet.
